This small terracotta hand was sculpted from life, taken directly from Rufus’s left hand. Unlike most sculptural works, which are usually produced in editions, this piece exists as a true one-off: the original terracotta itself, mounted on stone. Its singularity and its direct physical link to the artist make it a rare and intimate object.
